‘Dreams of a Distant Place’ is an attempt to reconstruct the visuals of my childhood daydreams when my mind started wandering, driven by a politically suppressed Wanderlust while growing up behind the iron curtain of the cold war in East Berlin.
For the past 15 months all those feelings of longing for escape were brought back to me while being locked up again due to the pandemic.

"Blue Skies” @ 'Don't Take Pictures' by Claude Peschel Dutombe

In conjunction with the theme of Don't Take Pictures current print issue, “The Blue Issue,”an online exhibitions “Blue Skies” has been curated by Kat Kiernan.

BLUE SKIES

Blue skies/smiling at me/nothing but blue skies/do I see…

The blue sky can be a canvas against which hot air balloons float gracefully, people are silhouetted, and clouds gracefully float. Peeking through trees, seen from airplane windows, or reflected in water—in all seasons, the blue sky above us is fodder for photographs. In conjunction with the theme of our current print issue, “The Blue Issue,” Don’t Take Pictures presents photographs of the blue sky.

Online Group Exhibition - "Noir” April 2021 by Claude Peschel Dutombe

Analog Forever Magazine is pleased to showcase 73 images in this month’s online exhibition, entitled “Noir,” and curated by independent publisher, curator, educator, and photographer, Blue Mitchell. The selected photographs explore, both thematically and literally, the themes of Film Noir. Films that are known for the strange, erotic, ambivalent, and cruel themes of their plots that combine unexpected camera angles and contrasted lighting to make you feel.

The curator, Blue Mitchell, had this to say:
“With the mix of implied narrative and realism, I feel like you made an art film in stills that serves as an homage to the auteur film movements of yesteryear.”

Intimate Alchemy

Plates to Pixels 2016 ANNUAL JURIED EXHIBITION

Juried by Blue Mitchell

I would venture to warn against too great intimacy with artists as it is very seductive and a little dangerous.
